Deutsche Agentur für Health Technology Assessment (DAHTA)

ISSN 1861-8863

Welcome

The systematic evaluation of health relevant processes and procedures, Heath Technology Assessment (HTA), is currently an integrated component of health policy. HTA has proven itself to be an effective method to facilitate quality and effectiveness in the German health system.

The German Agency for Health Technology Assessment (DAHTA) at the DIMDI was founded in 2000 and is responsible for the development and preparation of information systems, subject specific databases and publication of HTA reports.

gms Health Technology Assessment is a scientific journal published by the DIMDI in cooperation with the German National Library of Medicine (ZB MED) and is designed as an eJournal in the areas of German Medical Science (gms). gms Health Technology Assessment makes current information from all areas of medicine and public health quickly and easily accessible. HTA reports are published in this journal as part DIMDI´s mission of information system development for the Federal Republic of Germany. The complete HTA reports are published in German. Additionally, an English abstract and summary are available for each report.

gms Health Technology Assessment is free and will be perpetually available.
