GMS German Medical Science, an interdisciplinary e-journal for the entire field of medicine, addresses all those who work on and with scientific publications. Original papers and review articles that have passed through a peer review are published therein.

The Association of the Scientific Medical Societies in Germany (AWMF) and their scientific associations supply the Editorial Board, the Scientific Committee as well as the experts for the peer review procedure. The editorial work and the workflow is in the hands of the German National Library of Medicine (ZB MED). The German Institute of Medical Documentation and Information (DIMDI) is responsible for the technical implementation and the long-term archiving of electronic documents.

All the articles published in GMS German Medical Science are available online for anyone interested: immediately, permanently and free of charge.
