The main topics of the 57th Annual Meeting of the German Society of Neurosurgery and the Joint Meeting of the Japanese Society of Neurosurgery are:
- Vascular Malformations
- Surgery of the Orbita and the Frontobasis
- Minimal Invasive Procedures
- Free Topics
We added two dicussion themes of great importance:
- Patient Safety and Risk Management
- and Living Will
We are glad that the top specialists for example the German Minister of Justice, Mrs. Zypries, agreed to come for statements and discussion of this important topic.
The main topics document the state of art and the free topics reveal developments, research and special aspects of neuroscience.
Just like every year we had to select the papers because of a great number of abstract submissions. The members of the progamme committee did their very best. I would like to express my gratitude to all of them for their efficient work. I also wish to thank the secretary of the meeting and the editors who made the edition of the abstracts possible.
