Dear colleagues

I'm glad to invite you to the 92th annual conference of the "Vereinigung Südwestdeutscher Hals-Nasen-Ohrenärzte", which take place September 26th to 27th in Neckarsulm.

Themed "innovation from tradition" I have chosen topics, which are similarly interesting both for colleagues in the clinic and in private practice.

The treatment of head and neck cancer has got new impulses in the last years and is becoming more and more an interdisciplinary challenge. Current concepts of the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis and of allergology shall be presented and discussed. Other topics are the concepts of therapy of pediatric diseases as well as traumatology of the cranium, which is mainly influenced by our speciality but meantime advanced interdisciplinary. An often discussed topic is ambulatory surgery. Practicable options shall be critically discussed.

In Neckarsulm, the confluence of the rivers Neckar and Sulm, tradition and progress meet together in a dynamic city with many different faces: automobil industry, IT branch, former city of the teutonic order (Deutschorden) with long tradition of viniculture. Nearby located is Heilbronn, the capital of wine in the Württemberg region.

There will be enough time for individual conversation and to get to know each other. Discover also Neckarsulm, the region and its hospitality and have a good glass of wine.
