It is a great please for us to invite you to the 4th International Symposium and workshops “Objective Measures in Cochlear Implants”, which will be held in Hannover from 1 June 2005 until 4 June 2005.

The Symposium will focus on recent advances of objective measures in cochlear implants. Both clinical applications and research issues will be covered. State-of-the-art lectures by leading experts in the field will provide a solid basis for discussion and an introduction to the sessions featuring contributed presentations. The pre- and post-conference workshops will be organised by the cochlear implant manufacturers, who will provide an update on their latest product development in relation to objective measures.

The following topics will be included:

  • auditory evoked potentials
  • electrically evoked potentials
  • otoacoustic emissions (OAE)
  • event-related potentials
  • auditory steady-state response (ASSR)
  • electrical compound action potentials (ECAP)
  • electrical field imaging (EFI)
  • functional imaging
  • clinical impact of objective measures
  • candidate selection
  • intraoperative device testing
  • electrode positioning
  • preservation of hearing
  • postoperative fitting and device failure analysis

On the following pages you will find further information on the conference, including an outline of the scientific program of the symposium and instructions for abstract submission and registration.

We welcome you to join us in Hannover in June 2005.
